The money saved on the black belt, combined with having two strong specialty casters and a generic head-basher, makes this a very strong party with enough extra cash to get respectable gear and spells as needed. Thumbs up to this one.

This party is actually better than Fi/Th/Wm/Bm and also Fi/Rm/Wm/Bm(after level 10). Black belts benefit from FAST more than any other class(due to having double attacks to begin with). Once the black belt gets 6 attacks you'll start being amazed at how hard he can hit

Also there is a good weapon combo so every party member has a good weapon attack

Fi: excalaber (sorry if i wrote it wrong)
BB: Bare hands (past lvl 10)
WM: masumae (sorry if i wrote it wrong)
BM: Cat claw

fighter can have the second best because at the end of the game he will be really strong
Black Belt will be better than Fighter at the end of the game without any weapons (or so i have heard)
White Mage isnt that strong so with masumae she would be almost as good a fighter attacking wise
the catclaw is the best weapon just for BM so this would be a good choice to give him that.

You need the Fighter to Tank (absorb dmg) and the Mages to support. (Healing, defense, large groups , increase warrior's damage)

A Black belt costs little to maintain, does a lot more dammage than a fighter (at least a few hundred more by late game), and almost never misses. When fast is cast on a BB they do INCREDIBLE amounts of damage.

The BB finishes the balancing act of this party by adding a MAJOR physical damage component, killing enemies in one hit that would normally do a lot of damage to your party. It sure is nice to have him kill something scary in the first round like frost dragons, etc. A BB attacks sooner and often kills in 1 hit what a Fighter kills in 2. This often saves the party a lot of spell or physical damage!

Sure he takes a lot of magic damage, but he has a lot of life and when he is low on HP. That's what you have the White Wizard for! Remember?

Seriously, the BB isn't that much stronger than the Fighter except at absurdly high levels. And At absurdly high levels, it doesn't matter if you have a bleck belt or a BW who doesn't cast spells but exclusively uses the Catclaw. You're strong enough to win the game.

The only issue is whether or not it's better to not have to buy a 2nd Silver Sword in Elfland.

Tha answer? Don't. If making 4000 extra Gold is so bothersome, a second Fighter can fare fine with an Axe and beat the whole Elfland scenario before LV 10 making the whole draw for a pre-Lv 35 BB disappear.

This party is stupider than a F/T/WM/BM because the BB is always rendered worthless.
