The only problem I see with this party is the lack of strong Black/White magic will be an impeadment in areas like the marsh cave and the Earth cave where you face alot of monsters that are reistant to attacks, like green slimes and undead.

This is a well-balanced party for fighting. And by well-balanced I mean a party that has two annoyingly weak fighters until level 10; it's not like you need the Black Belt and Thief until then anyway.
At about level 20, however, this party becomes dominated by the Knight and Master, while the Ninja and Red Wizard are simply left to use Items and cast Fast.

I'm heading through the game with this team now. I have to say, it's not bad so far. I'm about to go to Ice Cave with it.

The ultimate beatdown party.
Fighter and RM hand out the pain until BB is strong enough to take over, then RM heals and Thf helps you run away to get back to the in after RM runs out of gas.
After class change is just buff and smash. Bosses melt.

This party doesn't have a problem, it has just enough magic to get past the parts that require it. It beats down everything in its path. Haste is your friend. Not an expensive group either.

Not sure why this was made the default party, but it's a good one.
You've got it all. Decent defense, an offense that TEARS things to shreds, decent healing, two FAST casters, area attacks, and when all else fails, RUNNING.
Possibly my fourth favorite party.

I've been (slowly) playing through Dawn of Souls with this one. It does pretty well, with the BB's low cost allowing me to focus on getting equipment for the others. As long as you focus on healing and elemental magic (with maybe temper on the side) the lack of magic isn't noticeable. It'll be interesting to see what they'll be like after class change...

They'll basically bring ruination to just about anything.
In my opinion, this party has the best combined strength to take on Omega/Shin-Ryu.
