Yeah, let's throw a party! ;)
I can't wait for this section to be up again. Right now I'm playing through the game with RM/RM/WM/BM. It's a very fun party, although not having a true fighter in there adds up to the difficulty.
I like the 8-bit Theatre party (Fi/Th/RM/BM). I don't know why, but I think that party is pretty good...
Aw, I love the jump to party feature.
Thank Nicole, it was her idea.
Yeah, that is AWESOME!
You're welcome. ;D
Thanks Nicole, it's easier to find a party you wanna vote for with the new system.
Its actually amazing how many different party combos there are although you should put up the solo options aswell I mean it would only be an extra six party pages
I wonder if im the only one who voted on every party
lolz. I'm gonna do that.
Haha, I started doing that. Screw it, takes too long.
4 of the 5 best parties are the same:
Fighter, XXXXXX, White Mage, Black Mage
EDIT: 5 of 5
EDIT: oops 4 of 5:)
I just realised that ALL the parties have been down voted before.
Black Belts and Thieves are totally worthless and boring
No Thieves are awesome. And Black belts still suck. Ninjas are godly.
BUt fighters reign supreme
don't really care for ninja's...I think they are overrated
heeey
I'd like to be able to vote for Solo Parties also. Anyone else?
Actually, I was just thinking we should be able to vote on parties missing a character. Fighter/WM/BM is a great party, because you level up faster and have to worry about money a little less.
Hows this... Fighter Fighter Black Mage White Mage im new so i think its ok i just cant buy all spells like fire the only spell i buy is cure for my white mage and ofc weapons and armour.
Question how many different combes are there in 4 groups
wow 512 give or take
If you want to comment on parties, then click on the party and comment there.
Id like to ask can you put up the single party options aswell?
"single party"? Oxymoron much?
Its not like I've ever done one but lots of people do
Hey I only just noticed that you can change your vote if you goofed it
Why is the Fi/Rm/Wm/Bm in first, why do you need the red mage? WTF
I like red mage. He is my fourth favorite character.
I like red mage. He is my fourth favorite character.
Knight, Ninja, Master, and the Wizards should be available to vote upon as well.
It would be cool to have detailed reviews for a lot of them.
I think Brian had a few detailed reviews in the old version of the site, I think they're still on EoFF
... detailed reviews are... a mixed business. you'd have to have multiple review people kinda... cause each is gonna have their different takes. an easy finger pointy thing would be the war that's raged since the dawn of time considering BB's or not :)
Different people could do the reviews.
Thats why you can comment on the different parties already
Didn't realize that there where that many combination of parties.
Myself I avoid using two of the same class.
To state since that there are so many remakes of this game and parties that some might be bad for one and great for another version, My comments are for the NES version except noted.
Anybody notice that the top 5 current best parties all have a black mage in them??? In other news, I have a loose tooth.
The most useful FF1 Party picking guide on the internet. Good job, guys.
Thank you, for your sake I'll go ahead and take full credit for it. I'm the greetest [sic].
@Dracitus I think there are 1296 different options. 6x6x6x6=1296.
Once a BB gets higher level he is a total beast, far more powerful offensively than a knight. Still never use him though.
I once thought the theif was a dog.
explain, please.
Well since I played it on a small tv screen from far away, I thought the punching fist was a nose. I did realize that it was a fist untill 6 mounths ago.
*months
Just registered and started voting. I will reveal my methodology: Any party with Black Belts or Thieves automatically gets voted down. I just finished minusing all of them. I was very pleased to see that the vast majority of these parties were already in the negatives. Now I need to decide what to do with the remaining 35 parties.....might just plus them all.
Max, wouldn't you know, that was my exact logic in voting also - I only like Mages, Fighters, and Brooms myself
!SMOORB
I vote logicly, but I have troubl drawing the line, my standards are two high.
I voted down on most of these, going by stats, that is.
White mages make any party better. multiple red mages make them worse. I vote accordingly.
Ya, I hate red mages, but try an all white mage party, it takes forever.
at SAG: Stats are only cool in real life.
In FF1, the only stat that matters is LVL.
Agreed. What level should I be for an all fighter party to beat chaos?
50, always level 50
in the DoS version I'm going to do all of the single class challenges. which 3 should I do first? 1 per save file.
Actually, what I meant was, should I play through with an all physical class first or with an all magic class?
