After long months of deliberation, I've determined that the way to make this site good is to find ways of updating it regularly that don't involve much work on my part. This involves either writing scripts to do all my work for me (which is actually fun for me, compared to doing manual labor), or finding other people to do all my work for me. (Thanks again Nicole.)

I put in a good evening of work on the site tonight, including a rewrite of a large portion of the scripts driving the NES section. (None of which is uploaded yet, so don't bother looking.) This is in preparation for finally getting off my arse and completing the charts and data for all the remakes. I have figured out a pretty good way of getting this done without much manual labor on my part, so I hope to have it done soon. E.g. I got the DoS armor chart data including all the new DoS-only armors into the database in about 25 minutes; the other charts shouldn't take quite so long, is my hope.

I am looking for a photo gallery script that works under Ruby on Rails which will allow people to upload their own fanart automatically, so that the fanart section can be reborn. This will remove my lazy self from the equation (other than moderating uploads). If I can't find a suitable script I'll have to write one, which I hope won't be too hard.

I'm also going to be looking for some affiliate sites in the near future. If you run a fairly popular website and would be interested in a link exchange, please email me. Many Final Fantasy sites don't have a very comprehensive FF1 section, and linking to mine can make up a bit for the deficit for your users.

I may be asking for volunteers / contributors to help with some other things. If you're interested, stick around.

W00t for volunteers! I'd gladly help with any way I possibly could. As I mentioned in the Forums, I have a lot of free time on my hands. I could come up with a Walkthru for the GBA Remakes, and the only real challenge would be Screenshots since I have the actual cartridge. But a ROM could easily fix that. I'd just need to take the time to run through that ROM to get screenshots, but other then that it would be a breeze.

Oh and I'm also witty.

Do you know how to make a transparent-background sprite out of a screenshot of game footage?

No but I sure as hell could find out how. I got the basics down, it would really be a matter of 5 minutes with Paintshop Pro and then going "Oh, thats how."

Doesn't sound terribly complex.
