                                  I don't think the Gas Dragon's POISON ability is a status effect. It's just one HUGE pain in the ass for those that are looking to make all 99 of their HEALS last until Chaos. Think of it as NUKE but with a different name.

                                  Thanks for the coordinate locations dude. I've had a vague idea of all that stuff but never been able to really break it down into exact parameters. I always like to know "Ok, when I cross this line exactly, the encounter types will change". Useful for knowing how far out to go from a town to level up.

                                  Because I've used an emulator before, I think I can guess the thing about the T-Rex.

                                  You see, I like to cheat by walking near the town in Elfland. If I run into wolves (poor money and XP), I'll load a savestate, and walk in the forests further west, which creates a different monster in that random encounter, maybe an ogre. But I learned that there are definite correlations and rarities of each monster group type.
                                  For example, Ogre/Creep combos are pretty common. Ogre/GrOgre are not. But if I catch 2 Ogres near Elfland, I might find a green one in the west. If I hit GrImps in the west, I might find Kyzoku in the sea.
                                  If I find the freakishly rare 2 Ogre/GrOgre near elfland, load the savestate, fly the airship to the Mirage tower and walk around, I'll encounter a T-Rex.

                                  It's the least likely of all random encounter groups, and chances are you may never find one, especially if that 1 in a million chance occurrs while you're in Coneria or something and you end up with whatever likely boring combo exists there.

                                  I think the chances are also the same with an Iron Gol, because I've only seen one of them once, and it happened to be "guarding" the Masmune. Right in front of the treasure chest. But I never found one there or anywhere else, despite navigating Tiamat's room in the ToF for a long time, ever again (and I can't find a T-Rex and then get to that room on my very next encounter. I've tried.
