NPCs
King of Coneria	Jane, Queen of Coneria

The nameless King of Coneria, father of Princess Sara, husband of Queen Jane. The King asks you to rescue his daughter from the evil knight Garland. After you do rescue Sara, the King builds a bridge for you that lets you cross to the main continent from the Conerian Peninsula.	Queen Jane is the wife of the King of Coneria, and the mother of Princess Sara.
Sara, Princess of Coneria	Sara's Sister

Princess Sara was kidnapped by the evil knight Garland. For rescuing her, her father the King will build a bridge for you,a and Sara will give you the magical Lute.	Sara's sister doesn't do much other than run around the Castle and ask about her sister.
Bridge Supervisor	Bridge Worker

This guy's in charge of finishing the Bridge north of Coneria. Quite the harsh taskmaster.	These guys built the Bridge north of Coneria. They built the whole bridge in less than 15 seconds. Pretty good workers, I'd say.
King's Aide	Garland

This is the Assistant to the King. He stands around and looks surprised a lot, but I'm sure he's helpful sometimes too.	Garland used to be a good knight. But not any more; now he's pure evil. He's kidnapped Princess Sara, and it's up to you to rescue her.
Bikke, the Pirate	Bikke's Mates

Bikke the Pirate and his mates have taken over Pravoka. Defeat his mates, and he'll give you his Pirate Ship.	The Mates stand between you and Bikke the Pirate, you scurvy dog you.
The Prince of Elf	Prince's Aide

The Elf Prince was cursed by the Dark Elf, Astos, and is in a deep magical sleep. The magical Herb will wake him. For saving him, he will give you the Mystic Key.	The Prince's Aide does the talking for the Prince while he's sleeping. He'll tell you about the Herb.
Matoya, the Witch	King of the Northwest Castle

Matoya the Witch lives in a cave north of Coneria. She uses a Crystal to see; after Astos stole it, she was blind. For returning the Crystal to her, she'll give you the magical Herb.	The King of the Northwest Castle wants you to retrieve his Crown, which was stolen by Wizards. Do so, and he'll have a surprise waiting for you.
Smith, the Dwarven Blacksmith	Nerrick, the Dwarven Engineer

Smith the Dwarven Blacksmith will make your party an incredibly powerful sword... if you can find him some Adamant.	Nerrick the Dwarven Engineer needs TNT to complete his canal. Find him some, and you will be able to access the outer continents in your Ship.
Dr. Unne	Titan

Dr. Unne of Melmond is a scholar extraordinaire. His specialty is the lost language of the Lefein. If you can find him the Slab, he'll be able to teach the language to you.	The Titan lives in the Titan's Tunnel, and he doesn't let anyone past without paying the toll. The toll, incidentally, is a Ruby, which he likes to eat. Yummy.
Vampire	Sarda, the Sage

The Vampire in the Earth Cave is responsible for destroying a large part of the town of Melmond, including the Clinic. So... go kill 'im!	Sarda the Sage will give you a the Rod, which you can use to reach the depths of the Earth Cave.
Lich	Lukahn, the Prophet

Lich is the Fiend of Earth. And he gets his own sprite now.	Lukahn the Prophet fortold the coming of the Light Warriors long ago. He has important information for your party, and will reveal more the further you get in the game.
Bahamut, Dragon King of Cardia	Kary

Bahamut the King of the Dragons will bestow a great honor on the Light Warriors, if you can bring him proof of your courage from the Castle of Ordeals.	Kary is the multi-armed multi-sworded Fiend of Fire. She gets her own sprite now.
Submarine Lady	The Fairy

This lady won't let you on the Submarine until you have Oxyale.	The Fairy was kidnapped by a Pirate and sold to the Caravan Master, Underhill. Buy her back, free her, and she'll give you some Oxyale.
Underhill the Caravan Master	Kope

Underhill owns the caravan that sells you back the Fairy.	Kope of Onrac says he saw a UFO flying around near the Waterfall. ...wacko.
Waterfall Robot	Kraken

He's a bit busted up, probably from falling out of the Sky Castle. But he'll give you the Cube before he short-circuits. What a guy. Er, what a robot.	Kraken is the Fiend of Water. Please don't mind the fish smell.
Tiamat	Chaos

Tiamat is the multi-headed Fiend of Air.	The monster, the myth, the legend.
