Credits - Thanks

Without the help of these people and/or websites, this site would not exist, or would exist but be much crappier. If you feel your name should be in this list, let me know. Thank you everyone who has contributed to keeping my site alive.

  • Squaresoft - Nice bunch of games you've got there.
  • Nintendo Power Strategy Guide for FF1 - A source of information for the very first version of my site. It was inaccurate and full of typos, but it served me well in guiding me through FF1 in my youth.
  • FFOrigins (Collector's Site) - One of if not the best FF1 sites out there. Lots of good info.
  • GameFAQs - Another very valuable place to acquire game charts and an understanding of game mechanics.
  • GameSpy - They were a great host for my site for a long time.
  • Eyes on Final Fantasy - They were a great host for my site for a short while. The forums remain a good place to talk about FF1. Thanks Sean.
  • Everyone who's sent me emails and tips over the years - Lots of info on this site is the result of people pointing out mistakes or things I didn't know. I used to try to name everyone, but there are far too many people to list, and I've lost many of the early contributors in the past 7 years. But all are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Tools

This site was built and designed using these great tools. Many are open-source and free, so take a look.

  • Gentoo Linux - My Linux distro of choice. Best programming environment you can imagine.
  • Vim - My programming editor of choice. It makes writing code fast and easy enough that even lazy me has time to get a lot done.
  • Ruby - My programming language of choice. This site runs on Ruby on Rails (at the moment).
  • Paint Shop Pro - The program I used many years ago to make most of my sprites. Haven't used it in a while though.
  • GIMP - The program I use nowadays to make all my sprites and maps. A great free image editor.
  • FFHackster - An invaluable way to acquire FF1 information from an NES rom.
  • Firefox - Thank God for an alternative to IE.
